Fat Burning Matcha Oatmeal

Oatmeal is already an extremely healthy breakfast food that lowers cholesterol, controls your blood sugar and helps control your weight. I’ve decided to up my oatmeal game by adding fat-burning, anti-oxidant packed matcha powder. Consuming green tea increases thermogenesis (the body’s rate of burning calories) from 8-10% to 35-43% of daily energy expenditure! So go ahead, try this recipe and get that fat burning and increased energy going!


  • 1/2 cup gluten free slow cooking oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp organic matcha powder
  • 1/2 tsp organic cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla 
  • 1/2 banana sliced 
  • 3 almonds

Boil the water and add the oatmeal. Cool down until desired consistency and add the matcha, cinnamon and vanilla. Stir and serve with the banana slices and almonds. The banana slices are a great way to add some natural sweetness to your oatmeal without adding sugar.
