Kiwi Coconut Smoothie

As the warmer days approach, I keep dreaming up endless combinations for delicious smoothies! Smoothies are a great weight loss tool that can help you boost your metabolism first thing in the morning. They also offer tons of nutrients, protein, and fiber to keep you full all morning long.

Kiwis may be small but pack a powerful punch. They are higher in vitamin C per ounce than most other fruits. Vitamin C improves your skin texture, helps adults with better sleep, and supports heart health because of it’s fiber and potassium content. And don’t feel guilty about eating them, because they only contain 42 calories and 2 grams of fiber! So go ahead, buy one of those fuzzy little fruits and whip up this smoothie!

Ingredients:

  • 2 kiwis, peeled
  • 1 handful of organic spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp unsweetened coconut milk (in can)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp unsweetened shredded organic coconut (to garnish on top)

Directions:

Place all ingredients in blender or Nutri-bullet and enjoy!
