Lemon Cucumber Mint Water


 

 

 

20140329-165329.jpgPeople spend a lot of money on bottled vitamin waters to give them that extra boost. What if I said you could get all the benefits of those expensive vitamin waters WITHOUT the chemicals and added sugar, at a fraction of the cost?! Lemons, cucumbers, and mint combined make a delicious, refreshing, detox drink and, it’s easy to make!

The lemon helps detox your body by cleansing and alkalizing it. Meaning, it keeps your body balanced helping you avoid acne, headaches, joint pain, indigestion, low immune system, weak hair and nails, trouble losing weight, trouble gaining weight, and allergies.  Lemon juice is a digestive aid and liver cleanser, which helps aid in weight loss. Cucumber is not only refreshing but it has anti-inflammatory properties and replenishes daily vitamins. Cucumber helps the body rid toxins, while keeping it hydrated. Fresh mint adds a delicious flavor and helps you digest more effectively.

I used to put it all the ingredients in a glass (pictured above) and let it soak overnight, but it became time consuming to make a glass every day. I came across this great pitcher that I found on Amazon with a built-in infuser to place the lemon, mint, and cucumber. It’s a great way to save time and make enough to last you more than one glass!

Ingredients:

  • 1 organic lemon sliced
  • 5 cucumber slices
  • several sprigs of fresh mint
  • Filtered or spring water to fill the pitcher

Let it all soak overnight in the fridge and enjoy!
