Key Lime Pie Smoothie

Looking for a healthy version of one of your favorite desserts? Then you must try this key lime pie in a glass! I am always on a quest to create delicious, yet healthy versions of my favorite desserts.

This contains heart healthy avocado filled with numerous nutrients. The monounsaturated fats in avocado are great for your skin and they are used as slow burning energy rather than stored as body fat. It also contains coconut oil, which is one of the richest sources of saturated fat known to man, with almost 90% of the fatty acids in it being saturated. This also helps burn energy, leading to weight loss. The key lime juice is also an excellent source of vitamin C.

So go ahead, grab your Nutri-bullet (or blender) and try this delicious recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp of unsweetened canned coconut milk
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/8 cup of key lime juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup of gluten free graham cracker crumbs
  • 4 ice cubes

Directions:

Blend all ingredients together. Close your eyes and imagine you are on an island, drink and enjoy!
