St. Patty’s Green Juice

Instead of drinking a processed, sugar-filled green Shamrock Shake from Mickey D’s this St. Patty’s Day, give this green juice a whirl! This “magically delicious” green juice has healthy pineapple, cucumber and spinach that is just sweet enough to quench your sweet tooth!

Pineapple has many healthy benefits. For one, it’s rich in vitamins and they help prevent many illnesses such as sinusitis, arthritis, indigestion and infections of the stomach and intestines. Also, pineapple is anti-inflammatory and helps ease arthritis pain. Not to mention, it’s rich in Vitamin C, which helps prevent colds and contains bromelain, which is helpful in suppressing coughs.

Let’s not forget about the delicious, refreshing cukes and powerful properties of spinach! The cucumber helps aid in weight loss due to its high water content. They are a good source of B vitamins and help keep the body hydrated while eliminating toxins.  Raw or unprocessed spinach is loaded with carotenes, amino acids, iron, iodine, potassium and magnesium, Vitamins A, C, K, E and B complex. Did you know you get the same amount of protein in a chunk of spinach as you would a morsel of meat? This proves Popeye was on to something years ago!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cucumber peeled
  • 2 spears of fresh pineapple
  • 3 cups organic spinach

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a juicer and drink up!

  1. I tried St. Patrick’s Green Juice my whole family loved it. I have a son who does not like any type of vegetables but when I made he loved it and didn’t even notice it had spinach. Again I must say I love your site and how it really has help me to introduce these healthy juices and Smoothie’s to my family. 🙂
